Cascadia Merge

Windows 10/11 · version 2.9.26

Download Cascadia Merge ↗

This is the official download page of Cascadia Merge. The download button gives you the original build of the setup program, about 34 MB, for Windows 10 and 11. It is the installer, not the portable .exe.

  1. Press the download button to get the setup program, about 34 MB. The file is built for Windows 10 and 11 on x64 PCs, and the download is recorded as described on the privacy page.
  2. Compare the SHA-256 checksum of the file with the published manifest, using the certutil command shown below. The two values must be identical before you run anything.
  3. Run the setup program. If Windows SmartScreen warns you, choose More info and then Run anyway, but only after the checksum has matched, because the installer is not code-signed yet.
  4. Open the app, connect a cloud model, a local model or the built-in model, and choose the project folder, for example your Vintage Story server's data folder. Begin with a small job, such as listing that folder with list_dir, and read the card before you ask for a change.
Before you begin

You do not need an account to run Cascadia Merge. A cloud AI provider may charge you separately for its own usage, under its own terms, if you connect one. Only the endpoint you pick receives your prompts, and with a local model nothing leaves your PC. Use it only on files, mods and servers that you own or administer. The Send feedback button inside the app is the place to ask for help or report a problem. Your chats, working folders and API keys stay on your PC, and the privacy page explains which optional features use the network.

System requirements

You need a PC with Windows 10 or Windows 11 on x64. The app interface is available in 13 languages, and you need a model before the agent can work: a cloud AI provider through an API endpoint, a model running on your PC, or the built-in model. For a Vintage Story server you also need the files of the server itself, which you install separately and keep in a folder that you own. Plan disk space for the app and for the copies of your saves, because a world is a single database file and every copy is a full copy of it. The cloud or local model you connect decides how long a log the agent can read in one go.

Updates

New versions are published automatically, and the app shows an Update button when one is ready. The installer build enables automatic updates, so you do not have to come back to this page for every release. The current version on this page is 2.9.26, released on 2 Nov 2026. The Update button appears inside the app, and you press it when you are ready to switch. Close the server and any running jobs first, so that no chat is in the middle of a task when the app restarts.

Verify the download

Windows
certutil -hashfile "C:\Users\you\Downloads\<downloaded file>.exe" SHA256

Open a terminal on your PC and run the command above, with the real path of the file you downloaded. A SHA-256 checksum is a fixed-length fingerprint of a file, and if a single byte differs, the value differs too. Compare the SHA-256 value it prints with the one in the published manifest. If the two values are identical, the file is the original build. If they differ, discard your copy of the download and fetch it again from this page. If you reinstall later, repeat the check against the manifest for that version.
